WHAT:

More than 50 health care students will offer about 200 uninsured and underinsured Oregonians free medical, dental, vision and hearing exams; personal hygiene items; and many other services as part of the 11th annual Free Health Care Fair hosted by OHSU students.

DETAILS:

Students and faculty from OHSU schools of Medicine, Nursing and Dentistry; and the OSU/OHSU College of Pharmacy will work with other local volunteers and organizations, including the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine and the Pacific University College of Optometry, to schedule follow-up medical appointments, provide resources for addiction, mental health, housing and more.

The annual event is part of the OHSU Health Care Equity Series, a year-round, student-led effort to raise awareness about disparities in the U.S. health care system.
