Heidi Nelson, MD, Research Professor, Department of Medical Informatics & Clinical Epidemiology, was quoted in an article about osteoporosis screening. In the article, a government task force said routine screening for osteoporosis should include all younger postmenopausal women who have at least the same chance of a bone break as an older woman. Dr. Nelson offered her thoughts on repeat screening.
